Taylor Swift Donates $113,000 to TEP

Taylor has just written a nice check out to the Tennessee Equality Project. She delivered it with a hand-written note, praising the people of TEP.

The TEP is an organization that fights against anti-LGBTQ laws and also seeks to advocate for them. Taylor's donation is a very big deal because it is equivalent to nearly an entire year of the TEP's operating funds. With this donation they will be able to help so many more people and fund more amazing projects.

One thing that needs to be made clear, Taylor DID NOT publicly make this donation. Her note was shared online and because of that she is receiving a lot of hate. People are saying that she could've donated more or that she's just looking for attention. That is maybe the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. People should be happy there's someone out there who is so generous, to fund an entire year of fighting for LGBTQ rights. Nothing can ever be enough in the publics eyes.

As Taylor said herself back in October, "those are MY Tennessee values". I'm glad to see her aiding in the fight for what she thinks is right.
