**This Post Contains MANY Spoilers**
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's anticipated second season has finally dropped. It spans 9 episodes and picks up right where we left off. Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) is leaning much deeper into the darker side of things that will quickly get her in trouble.
The season starts off with Sabrina giving up on going to Baxter High to attend the Academy of the Unseen Arts full time. From the moment she gets there, of course, in true Sabrina nature she begins challenging the Academy's misogynistic ways. She makes a bid for "top boy" despite being laughed at by the male academy members and Father Blackwood (Richard Coyle) himself. She's going against her boyfriend Nick Scratch (Gavin Leatherwood) in the challenge, but it ultimately results in neither of them being appointed because of defiance. Meanwhile back at Baxter High, Sabrina's ex-boyfriend Harvey (Ross Lynch) sparks a romance with her best friend Ros (Jaz Sinclair). Her best friend Susie (Lach Watson) is also going through her own transformation into Theo, his true self.
As the episodes go on, the momentum picks up very quickly. Sabrina is in a love square with Ros, Nick, and Harvey, as it is abundantly obvious Harvey still cares for her. Sabrina is spreading her "fathers" manifesto about the intermingling of witches and mortals. Ros finally loses her sight, which only enhances her cunning. When witch hunters show up across Greendale, things really take a turn. The hunters gather the entire coven in the desecrated church and are ready to kill them all. Sabrina runs in and is shot with three arrows. As she lays dying, something takes her over and she resurrects herself, two witches, and kills the witch hunters who happen to be very powerful angels. This is unheard of. With this new found power Sabrina is able to restore Ros' sight. Shortly after, Harvey and Theo find a prophecy deep in the mines about Sabrina. It shows that she is the key to the start of the apocalypse and hell on earth and is meant to rule at the dark lord's side. The final episode shows Sabrina accidentally fulfilling the prophecy by killing her duplicate that she made in an attempt to give up her powers. The dark lord takes his true form as Lucifer (Luke Cook) and walks on earth. Sabrina does everything in her power to try and defeat him, but fails time and time again. She learns of the treachery of her own boyfriend and also shockingly that her father is actually Lucifer. Theo, Harvey, and Ros are down in the mines trying to keep the gates of hell from opening up. Sabrina tries everything to stop him, even trapping him in an all powerful Acheron configuration. He breaks out of the configuration, ready to kill Sabrina and everyone around her. Nick sacrifices himself and lets them trap Lucifer in his body. Lilith, more well known as Mary Wardwell (Michelle Gomez) takes the crown as the queen of hell and brings Nick's body down through the gates, but not before restoring Sabrina's full powers.
There is so much that goes on, I'm not doing it any justice. It's full of plot twists and turns, it'll keep you hooked. There's so many dangling questions left. I need parts 3 & 4 immediately.
You can see Sabrina in all it's glory on Netflix.

Does Salem make an appearance in season 2? I think he would add some humor to what sounds like a dark eerie drama.
